FEATURED BOOK

Women of Gaza

Published in Finnish as Gazan naiset

The book begins through the innocent eyes of the author at the age of six, as she watches an Israeli soldier stop her family’s car at a military checkpoint in the Gaza Strip. From that moment, Women of Gaza unfolds into a literary journey across four generations of Palestinian women, spanning from the Nakba in 1948 to 2026.

“How does a person survive when war takes up residence in the body?”
